In this age of globalization and new systems of working environment, innovation is one trait that is needed in order that one be fully appreciated by the higher ups. Employees who maintains the old ways, moving within a restrictive sphere of tasks, and not venturing much into invention and initiative would surely be easily set aside and disregarded in terms of upward mobility.
Be inventive and take initiative. The boss would always welcome fresh suggestions and new ideas. It’s one way of signaling your dynamism. Do not just sit in one corner and do tasks day in and day out.
